I started making websites in 2005.
I worked in sales and marketing.
I have a mix of different skills and interests.
In 2010, I started a blog named minimal changes about my personal experiments to develop free time, spare cash, a clear head and lighter living by applying minimalist lifestyle expriments and by testing counter intuitive strategies on myself. It’s been a fun ride.
I’m from the Philippines and I enjoy travel and trying out food. Occassionaly, I take lots of pictures. I started a website named Philippine Island Living to share tips and stories about my adventures and the things I enjoy about life in the Philippines.
I worked in the BPO industry since 2007 my friends have been asking me for tips on how to get hired in a call center. I’m an introvert. People who know me growing up know it that’s why they ask me for tips because they couldn’t believe the improvement. I enjoy teaching people because I know the challenges of people who are shy or have difficulty communiting. I enjoy helping shy people like me. Over time I realized that I’ve been spending a bit too much time doing this so I decided to set up a website and write all my lessons instead of spending a few hours with them teaching them all I know over beer or food. Call Center Training Tips is an online reference to help people get hired in a call center.
I make my living doing freelance work. I do a mix of VA, Project and Account Management as well as ghostwriting.
- I enable entrepreneurs and digital nomads to run their business from their preferred chat app and offload repetitive, time consuming tasks.
- I manage customer service teams, assign tasks to freelancers, manage transactions, do research, represent my clients to their clients, and many more.
- I help my clients document processes and create systems that enable us to eliminate, automate and delegate time consuming tasks to slowly but surely liberate them from being chained to the laptop from 9-5 or working sixteen hour days.
- I write and edit articles related to fitness, health and personal development.
- I write articles for CreativeSomething.net
- I write articles and reviews for several CrossFit websites and products.
- I ghostwrite for several education blogs including an international school and their homestudy program.
Last year, I left my call center job to take care of my health and had become a freelancer.
As of April 2017, my work queue is presently full and as a result, I’m currently rejecting offers for jobs, business and investments.
I’m a workaholic. Yes. But aside from work related activities I also have personal projects and many of it actually looks like work.
I spend most of my free time training in a CrossFit box, blogging, drawing or taking my bike out of town.
I currently live in Parañaque, Philippines in case you’re wondering.
I do my best to play around with what I’m doing as most of my big wins result in a gameful mindset and taking anything too seriously often ends in failure.
- I am building a personal development guide for call center workers and managing a small social media community to help minimum wage Filipinos and high school graduates qualify for higher paying jobs. This is my primary form of community service.
- Since health became my priority, I’m making a concious effort to sleep eight hours a day, drink water and exercise everyday.
- I’ve been experimenting with the Slow-Carb, Ketogenic, Paleo and Atkins diet as well as intermittent fasting and documenting my progress. I eat mostly meat and vegetables and I do my best to limit carbs, sugar and starchy food intake five to six days a week.
- I do my best to live like a minimalist, owning less and making sure that each item that I own fits my strategy and prefered lifestyle.
- Whenever I can, I cook my own food.
- I take my folding bike around the city or my mountain bike for long rides out of town. I am also assembling a fixed gear bike.
- I share my thoughts and things I learned on my personal blog.
- I’m also learning how to draw. I post my progress on my instagram.
- I’m working on digitizing all my papers, automating and outsourcing time consuming tasks so I can focus on things that I enjoy.
- I competed in two inter-box CrossFit competitions one for PR City CrossFit and one with Primal Ape CrossFit and did better than I expected. The experience helped me discover that I can do more than 40 pull ups, do 83 burpees in seven minutes, do more than 50 wall ball shots in less than ten minutes, unlocked my power clean and lift giant tires. The experience gave me a lot of confidence in my physical abilities, and more importantly my ability to prepare and select the right strategy. I also learned that a calm and steady pace beats sprinting all the time and had allowed me to win and lose gracefully against insanely stronger competitors.
- Learned how I can use Jekyll, a bare-bones static website generator to replace Wordpress as a blogging platform and to use GitHub to host my websites. So far I’ve learned to build sites from the base template, learned how to use different templates, adjust the code to include Google Analytics and Disquss comments and advertisements. I still have much to learn but I’m getting there.
- Quit my Call Center Job to become a freelance ghost writer.
- Built a home office so I can work remotely.
- Got over my depression by learning to manipulate my physical state through optimal body mechanics, breathing techniques, cold exposure and other physical adjustments as well as studying and adapting Stoic philosophy as well as the work of Tim Ferriss, Derek Sivers, Tony Robbins and Alan Watts.
